New Quality Assurance Manager

NovaTech announces the addition of William (Bill) Mooney as Quality Assurance Manager.  Bill, who has worked for NovaTech since late 2005 as a project engineer, will now report in the capacity of QA Manager directly to the President of the company and will oversee the Quality Assurance aspects of the growing fabrication-related business portion of the company.

Purchace of IMC Machine Shop

NovaTech announces that it has purchased most of the business base of Lynchburg machine shop IMC.  IMC, which has ceased operation, was a contract machine shop specializing in several niche markets.  One of these markets is the fabrication of specialty dies for wire coating and another is fabrication and repair of heavy components.  Along with the business, NovaTech also purchased a portion of IMC’s machine tools and hired five former IMC employees.  Combined with NovaTech’s existing capabilities and recently completed fabrication shop expansion this acquisition will allow NovaTech to grow the fabrication portion of their business significantly.

Completion of Major Expansion

NovaTech announces the completion of a major expansion of their fabrication facilities.  This expansion triples the fabrication and laboratory space and adds a 25 foot high bay with 5 ton overhead crane.
